Wildflower

These wildflower areas had been a challenge to propagate and keep from being an eyesore. After the first establishment, the wildflower display was phenomenal.  Through the years, the flower population segregated itself and was taken over by Black Eyed Susan and Shasta Daisy.  We began to incorporate Yellow Mountain Coreopsis.  We like the floral display and longevity but did not like the height of this plant. It became 5 to 6 feet tall.  We applied Glyphosate and seeded with the display listed below and it looks like a winner so far.   The colors and variety of different species add to the May through October display.  It also serves as a bird sanctuary as the feed on insects and seeds within the flowers.
